Presbyterian Support Central is a 'not-for-profit' and charitable organisation that has been providing community based support services for the last 100 years in the lower North Island. The company supports older people in the community through its Enliven Positive Ageing Services and families and children through Family Works services.
Our four Family Works Centres provide counselling and social work services to address the needs of children, families and individuals. The Family Works business unit has consistently been operating under a deficit and until now these social services have been supported by community goodwill and various fundraising efforts. The planned fundraising initiatives are efforts to help financially sustain and support the ongoing provision of Family Works services. Nett income after expenses generated from these fundraising initiatives will be used to continue providing Family Works services in the community.
